Cake for a cyclist

For the month of February there is only one birthday in the office and that is of our CEO and cycling enthusiast. Also with a couple of gluten intolerant colleagues I made a gluten free sponge and decorated with white chocolate piped bikes!

To be honest, not a fan of gluten free flour – it made the cake very crumbly and MUCH harder to ice!

The bikes were piped using white chocolate candy melts, painted with food colouring – next time I think I’ll a) actually use a piping nozzle to make the lines more even and probably use a bigger aperture so the shapes are a bit more solid!
